The American Jersey Cattle Association works to stop the spread of Johne's disease. The AJCA now requires that cattle consigned to national sales be test-negative for Johne's disease within the past year. This move adds Johne's disease to the list of infectious diseases for which consignors must test cattle. We commend the AJCA for its efforts to halt the spread of Johne's disease.
